Tom of Fermentation loves summative lists. Since he's been blogging often and long, he's well qualified. This particular list is a great one for "we who blog on wine." (I know it's ungrammatical, so sue me. Better yet, serve me Gallo.)
These are two of my favorites--I try to adhere to them, but don't always remember to do so:
5. Linking out to other sites and pages is more a gift to your readers than to the linkee.
6. Responding to comments is the single most important thing you can do to create a community within your blog.
If you haven't read it all yet, go to Fermentation now for the 10 things Mr. Wark has learned. Good reminders for all bloggers!

I don't think "we who blog on wine" is ungrammatical. Yer covered.
Tom is great, of course, and seemingly fearless, and "Fermentation" is one of the country's great wine blogs. As you say "Kicking butt, taking names." And, he assiduously follows the rule you mention: He responds to the comments people put up regarding his posts. Too many bloggers neglect that aspect of the, uh, what, the art, the craft, the task, the tedium, of blogging, so one reads myriad comments to a post but not the reaction of the blogger to his readers. It's supposed to be a discourse.

It sure sounds ungrammatical. Or just arch, like "she who must be obeyed."
Anyway, FK, I would have responded even sooner, but I was sending a comment to Tom on another article.
As to that, Freddele, when are you going to allow comments to show on your site? In view of the latest contro you've stirred up, they'd be fascinating to see.
