Feel the Rage is the new blog site I am using to post all of my novel, Catch of the Day. I am posting a couple-three chapters at a time. The first two chapters are already up, and the last ones will be posted in mid-October.
I have been up all night working on the conversion and scheduling of this book to Typepad. The formatting, carried over from Word, is pretty whacky. And the design I've got in place is pretty pathetic for the time being.
Still, I hope you can get past these little problems and enjoy the story...and especially my obnoxious protagonist. Leave me your comments on FTR.
The novel is set in 1957, in a town very like Camden, Maine, where the movie "Peyton Place" was shot. In the book the film's called "Port Scandal," and some of the cast and crew figure in it. But the main conflict is between the protagonist, Bill Blake, a 40-year-old writer, sexual adventurer, mama's boy, failed husband and father, and booze hound, and his landlord, an inhibited, taciturn innkeeper named Douglas Broadwood. Douglas helps Bill recover his writing career, but receives the just deserts of all who believe themselves to be well-meaning.
But I've said too much...
