Last evening I received a DHL package from Domenico. It was a pretty heavy one. He had packed up every bit of sales material, all the show guides and so forth, that he could get his hands on at Vinitaly and the "fringe" events. Plus all his detailed notes and a DVD of the pictures he'd taken. I have to say, having all this stuff in hand is better than just getting a series of "disembodied" emails. And I'm sorry I ever thought that he was less than in gamba. (On the ball.)
Paper and plastic weren't what made the package heavy, though. Dom also sent over two bottles of the Le Fonti 2006 olive oil, which the people there told him was better than 2005 (damned good anyway). And from Susanna Crociani, from her Tuscan azienda and agriturismo ("country estate" is an appropriate translation for that fairly ugly word agriturismo), a Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 1999 Riserva and her wonderful Vinsanto (1997). They need to settle down for a while before I open them; I'm eager to drink these wines since they have a few years' bottle age on them.
The next part is in Italian because it concerns wine bloggers who write in that language.
Stefano Berti (blog aziendale Stefano Berti), i fratelli Ingrosso (Vino24.TV Blog), Lorenzo Lombardi e Massimiliano Perbellini (Wineplanet.it), Mirco Mariotti (Blog & Wine), Maria Grazia Melegari (Soavemente... ), e Luca Risso (TheWineBlog.net).

IWG sez you are on his black list

Mah!
Niente IWG. Minghia!
So there.
