Wine blogs are popping up like dandelions after the spring rain.
One of the interesting trends is the rise of the bilingual and multilingual blog. Like this one, sorta. I don't mean aggregator sites, which present the same syndicated info in several languages but blogs that exist in one edition. There's Amy's at LaGramiere, which has been in French and English for some time now. She tells great stories of the trials and triumphs of being a startup wine producer.
A there are the Spanish/Catalan/English blogs set up by Alberto in Barcelona and David in San Juan, Puerto Rico. They qualify as "real" blogs: very individual, expressive of their personal and cultural terroir so to speak. Alberto is from Italy and owns a wine shop that focuses on Italian wine, while David is from...all over the place. (David, not to be nosy, but what do you do?)
These blogs are in my blogroll -- although Amy's is actually on the right under "Gente del Vino."
Check 'em out, brush up your language skills and enjoy some different, multidimensional perspectives on el mundo del vino.

Terry, thank you for your kind & generous words--
Right now, I'm trying to figure how to earn a living all over again as I've been a deer in the headlights, depleting my diminished retirement investment fund since 2002...

Advice: don't go into teaching. No matter how bleak things look, they'd be a hell of a lot worse if you did.
And the money's shitty too.

...her Dad was Senior Editor at 'Popular Photography' magazine & documented avant-garde performance in NYC in the 60's thru 80's-- mostly focusing on the Judson Church scene, I believe.
Rebecca was all of 17 when she staged her first piece at PS 122 in the East Village, my last bit of work before returning to Puerto Rico in March 1985...

Wine blogs are increasing in number due to the realization of different sectors of soceity that blogging gives them another form of free expression. Winemakers and winelovers alike can now connect with each other regardless of distance.
