This is a post composed on a Blackberry, which guarantees its pithiness. Well, here we are at sunny, warm, cosmopolitan and clean Nice, founded by pre-classical Greeks, long under Rome, a haven for Saracens, culturally and linguistically Italian, now a true World City with sizable populations of everything, not just rich widows with their mink walkers. (Plenty of them too of course.)
On superficial first blush I must say I like this place much better than comme-il-faut Paris with its gray skies. I even like it better than ramshackle Italy right over the border; it's cleaner and better organized and things work better. In this corner of the Hexagon are united the best of the two countries without succumbing to the worst of each. Sort of reminds me of New York in that respect -- one man's praise is another's condemnation of course...
This little thumb dance is mad hard. At least it's forcing me to keep it brief. Maybe I'll be enough over jet lag tomorrow to take pix. Ciao.
Another reason to like Nice: they understand italiano here. Since my French is for merde, I'm grateful.

I'm actually blown away by your lack of typos on that thing!

Truly, I did edit the shit out of it on the laptop before posting. This is on Blackberry bareback. So to speak.
