The other day, without benefit of time or a really fast web connection, I mentioned seeing Susy Tezzon at Genoa (Terroir Vino exposition).
Susy is a co-owner of the wonderful restaurant, Giardino delle Esperidi on the shores of Lake Garda.
I thought it was worth reiterating something about the place and the delicious foods and wines they serve.
Susy at the restaurant
Here is an excerpt of a review from another web site:
The Giardino delle Esperidi is a high-quality restaurant and therefore
you can expect an impressive menu. These expectations won't be
disappointed: you can start with rolled herrings served with country
mustard, followed by a very delicate cream of pumpkin with mullet roe.
For the second course there are pork medallions cooked with black
truffle, lamb chops with salmoriglio,
cooked trout carpaccio with lemon and olives. Before the desserts are
served, there is cheese, the curious "drunk" cheese which are flavoured
with liqueurs. The sweets are also very good: try the creme brulee with
star shaped anise. There is a good wine-list with an impressive range
of spirits.

I met her at dinner, after Terroir Vino in Genova. We were together with you at the same table. She seems a very nice person, very funny and competent. I hope I'll have the chance to get to go to her place soon.
There is only one fault: she buys Morellino from another producer (a good one, Moris Farms). Nobody's perfect :-)

GP, I've always thought the Montereggio was Moris' best wine. Your Capatosta is hard to beat...I had it in Viareggio.

Caro Terry
@Giampaolo

ti aspetto a Bardolino

Dear Terry: I agree a 100% with your comments on Giradino delle Esperidi and Susy. She knows a lot about wine and her restaurant is very good but first of all she is a great woman with a lot of courage, very sincere and hard working. She deserves recognition! Lucia
