This is very surprising. Look at the bottom of the chart. Aaaa-uuuuuummmmm.
Sanskritman hails from Portugal, by the way. We welcome weisenheimers from all over.
And for the countries you're coming from...

From seersucker central: The pieces of the pie don't add up to 100%
Posted by: Marco | June 02, 2008 at 08:40 AM
Have you heard of something called rounding?
Posted by: th | June 02, 2008 at 08:52 AM
Wow, USA grabs the biggest piece of the pie, what else is news? But where is China? Oh wait, this one was not about oil or co2, sorry about that. Best regards, the Finnish subscriber;)

Hey suomi boy, grazie a te. It's amazing to me that LESS than half of the visitors are from the USA. China is in miscellaneous, of course. Thanks to you, Finland shows up!
Posted by: th | June 02, 2008 at 09:46 AM
No, I don't know from roundin'.

mr seersucker, i endured advanced calculus at rensselaer polytechnic. i have heard of rounding somewhere along the line.
Posted by: Marco | June 02, 2008 at 08:06 PM
T,
i don't trust this statistic..
pie chart no 2, what's the difference between unknown and misc?
what's the definition of unknown anyway?
i thought each country has been assign some sort of coding/ tracking ID in the world wide web?
Posted by: Ronald | June 03, 2008 at 04:12 AM
yes of course, but they don't show every single country here -- it's too cumbersome a graphic.
misc includes the countries that don't have many visitors like malta, taiwan, ecuador, etc. etc.
unknown means a visitor who is using a particular kind of mobile or ultra-firewalled server. you can usually infer where they come from by the language installed on the computer -- australian english, italian, and so forth.
these numbers are dynamic and real time, changing constantly throughout every day.

I think the pie-chart is a hoax just to increase site traffic. Since Florent is closing on June 29th, I can help with your site traffic after the bitter end.
Posted by: Florent Morellet | June 03, 2008 at 09:27 AM
First of all, nothing is helping my site traffic.
Second of all, don't be a wise guy, Marco.
Posted by: th | June 03, 2008 at 09:29 AM
I would take Florent up in his offer.

Mr Viesenheimer to you. I for one am helping your site traffic. Have you read the Florent piece? The John Water's quote is worth it alone.

You indeed and I shall remain grateful till my expiring breath.
No, I didn't read the Florent piece. I'm supposed to care?
Posted by: th | June 03, 2008 at 01:46 PM
Actually, it is an interesting piece. I totally agree with him about Paris. And about our fair city.
So, 'scuse me, I suppose I care.
Posted by: th | June 03, 2008 at 01:50 PM
See, I thought you might like it. What about the John Water's line? And please use your Irish sense of humor more, you are much more human and fantabulously redolent of thy splendid self.
