Steady reader Ronald has sent me the link to an interesting and rather bizarre set of predictions by the British wine merchant Berry Bros. In it is distilled the research and collective wisdom of the Berry Bros. staff regarding the state of the wine world in 50 years.
It's hard to know if they're serious about genetically modified vines floating on the seas, growing hydroponically. But I can all too easily believe that a case of First Growth Bordeaux might fetch 10 million pounds.
Check out this bullet-pointy presentation. This is on the firm's own web site.
