I'm in a dinky park between Lincoln Center and Cafe Boulud, where the tasting lunch will begin its second shift soon. It's an aboslutely beautiful day, no clouds, warm and breezy. I sit at a little table looking north. Smack-dab in front of me is the gilded statue of the angel the Mormons call Moroni, which is stunning when you think about that name. Either the prophet had an eternal link to Little Richard (you have to be aged to get that one) or he was channeling the Italian word for "morons."
I was going to drop many more witticism but I spent 10 minutes catching up with Jeremy Parzen and must go inside and submit to a free lunch.

Bar. Va bene.
Oddly, it looks and feels like a restaurant.

Hey. Terenzio, how ya doin'? My turn to feel utterly abandoned. Flying to Calif tomorrow with my usual mixed feelings. Wrung out an emotional post addressing my brother's death under the designated monthly blogging Wednesday topic, & it seems as if I have the plague. Guess I can't blame 'em. Not a feel-good, hike in the Fall foliage & drinky poo poo posting...anyway, tought I'd say hullo, promise I'l do my best to find a way to make it East (watchu doin' for Thanksgiving?)whether by Amtrak or...whatever...anyway...thanks for letting me share, & all that rot-- DJR

Good God, take care and take heart. Yes, I'll be around at Thanksgiving.
