New blog name announced!

We've chosen Muddy Boots as our company web site's blog name.  Jeff loves it and May, our designer, loves it.  I do too.

I'll have to give the copywriter a raise.*

Meanwhile, let me thank everyone who submitted a suggestion or two.  And since I'm aware of seeming a cheapskate, I've decided to give that bottle of fine Aglianico di Taurasi to the person who sent in the next best entries, Beth of the Philadelphia Wine School.  Thank you, Beth!

Earlier today Alex of Verona left a comment noting that Muddy Boots in Italian is "Stivaloni Infangati."  I like that version of it too, especially because it sounds kind of dirty, and not just muddy dirty.  But for the title and masthead I think we'll stick with the shorter English version. 

* Me.  Actually, I'm doing this for free.  Well, hardly free.  More like the self-publishing model where you pay to play.  What can I say?  I'm funny that way.

Good name, bravo.
I would translate that into "Stivali fangosi" rather "Stivali infangati". Don't use stivaloni, nobody does.
We can provide the UK version though, Muddy Wellies.
